From May 25, 2018, the new GDPR law entered into force for all companies that are within the European Union.
We adapt your website or online store to comply with the new GDPR Law.
A few years ago, the issue of security and the processing of personal data of users and customers was regulated by the LOPD (Organic Data Protection Law). This Law was applied at the national level and was not adapted to the environment of new technologies.
In the context of the Internet, we could verify that websites or online stores showed totally generic texts with dense content about the processing of personal data. These texts were not adapted to each specific case and their content was such that many of the users avoided reading and simply accepted their agreement.
Now, since May 25, 2018 everything has changed. With the new GDPR Law (General Data Protection Regulation) all criteria are unify at European level and this content is adapted to all companies that comprise the technology sector. This has prevented the use of ambiguities.
In addition, as a very positive aspect, it is a step forward for companies that provide their services within the European Union and more importantly those that perform a remote service to customers.
There have been very significant changes, and in the case of companies that provide their services in the field of the Internet, they have to comply with the regulations by configuring their web platforms in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.
After this great change, there are many companies with corporate websites and online stores that have not adapted their site to this new Law. So if they are subjected to a web audit or a complaint inspection, they could be punished with up to 20,000,000 euros depending on the severity of the sanction.
